Frequently Asked Questions

What is Urban Saints?

Urban Saints is a Christ-centered, faith-based, parachurch movement. We were born from a deep burning to reach the most urban communities for Christ.

What is the core purpose of Urban Saints?

Our role is to equip the saints to reach and connect the lost to a local church in the most urban areas in the world, so they can ultimately be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Our heart is always to be led by the Holy Spirit.

Does Urban Saints have regular gatherings?

Yes. We have our monthly Back2Basics (B2B) gatherings online and physically, which take place in different venues each time. We also meet in small gatherings called pockets that focus on pure and simple worship to our King Jesus. We pray, sing, fellowship, establish strong relationships, have a Jesus' style discipleship, and most important, give all the glory to Jesus.

Are you planning to start a church?

Yes! We genuinely believe starting a church is essential for our movement: our goal is to plant a church organically. Even when we plant a church or churches, Urban Saints will still be an independent parachurch movement. Since we know the fields are ready for the harvest, our leaders decided to let the Holy Spirit help us plant a church at the right time, place and people. We decided that our prayers will always be to the Lord of the harvest: as He adds workers, a church will be built.

Do you accept tithes and offerings?

For now we are mainly supported financially by our leaders' generosity, but anyone is welcome to give. We believe tithes are specific for a local church, so if you are attending one, please give your tithes there. If you'd like to support us, please click the generosity tab.

What do you do with all the financial support that goes to Urban Saints?

We believe transparency is important, so we want to be as transparent as possible. Soon we will post all our books online on this website. Check back soon or contact us if you need any financial accountability.

The Bible says in Acts 20:35: “It is more blessed to give than to receive." Because of this truth, our philosophy is always to keep operations low and giving extremely high. We support local churches, missionaries, non-profit organizations (Christian and non-Christian) and in other ways that the Holy Spirit leads us to.

What is Urban Saints' vision?

Urban Saints exists to edify the local church and empower every saint to understand his/her identity, purpose, calling and assignment on earth. We believe every believer’s home is an extension of the church and every community is a mission field.

What is Urban Saints' mission?

Our mission is simple: Equip the saints, reach the lost and be the Church. We walk with boldness in the most urban areas on earth to make Jesus’ name famous through creative evangelism, relationships, signs and wonders and above all, sharing His Good News.

What is our accountability?

What is coming next?

We are a movement led by the Holy Spirt. We might not have all the answers now, but we are definitely sensitive to hear the voice of God and grow to the direction He leads us.

What is a parachurch movement?

As defined by Wikipedia, "Parachurch organizations are Christian faith-based organizations that work outside and across denominations to engage in social welfare and evangelism. Parachurch organizations seek to come alongside the church and specialize in things that individual churches may not be able to specialize in by themselves. They often cross denominational, national, and international boundaries providing specialized services and training."
